Attention Lives in Small Things
The present moment is filled with joy and happiness. If you are attentive, you will see it.
Attention is not straining to feel something grand. It is noticing the particular weight of your coffee cup in your palm. The way breath moves in, then out, without drama. Today, attentiveness means seeing what is already here: the ordinary textures, the small shifts in light, the solid ground beneath you. You do not have to generate joy. You have to stop long enough to meet it where it has always been waiting.
Question for today
What small thing are you usually too hurried to actually see?
Practice
Before you check your phone, name one sound you hear right now, one thing your skin feels touching it, and one thing you smell.
