The Call That Asks Nothing
The mountains are calling and I must go.
The mountains don't persuade. They simply call, and the calling itself becomes the answer. There is no negotiation in a true call, no cost-benefit analysis. You hear it or you don't. Muir teaches us that some pulls are not invitations to think about later. They are invitations to move now, to say yes to what is already asking something of you. The call assumes you are listening. It assumes you know the difference between what the world wants from you and what your own depths require.
Question for today
What have you been postponing because you mistook waiting for wisdom?
Practice
Name one thing calling you right now, then do one small step toward it before noon.
